Haryana Vidhan Sabha today paid rich tributes to the prominent personalities, who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current Winter Session which commenced today. The members of the House also observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, who is also the Leader of the House, paid tributes to country’s politicians, former members of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, freedom fighters, martyrs of Haryana and close relatives of members of Haryana Vidhan Sabha and other prominent personalities.
Leader of Opposition, Abhay Chautala and Congress Legislature Party Leader, Kiran Choudhry also paid tributes to the departed souls and read obituary resolutions on the behalf of their parties. Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Kanwar Pal also read out obituary resolutions and paid tribute to the departed souls.
In the House, tributes were also paid to Union Minister, Ananth Kumar, former Minister of Haryana, Narain Singh, former Minister of State, Satya Narain Lathar, former Minister of State, Pt. Shiv Charan Lal Sharma, former members of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mani Ram and Naresh Malik.
Apart from this, the House paid tributes to freedom fighter of Panipat, Ramdittamal Madan. The House also paid tributes to eight persons who died in road accident occurred in Badli bypass in Jhajjar.
The House also paid homage to martyrs of the state who have showed indomitable courage and sacrificed their lives while safeguarding and protecting the unity and integrity of the country.

Commander Neeraj Kumar of Naya Gaon, district Rewari, Chief Petty Officer, Naveen Kumar of village Changrod, district Charkhi Dadri, Sub Inspector Jaipal of village Dhanana, district Bhiwani, Petty Officer Amit Kumar of village Hathwala, district Jind, Assistant Sub Inspector Raj Kumar Yadav of village Chhawa, district Rewari, Lance Havildar Vijay Kumar of village Sangwan, district Bhiwani, Havildar Karan Singh of village Saidpur, district Mahendragarh, Havildar Narender Kumar of village Thana Kalan, district Sonepat, Havildar Sharif Khan of village Kapoori, district Mahendragarh, Havildar Virender Singh of village Amargarh, district Jind, Sepoy Krishan Kumar of village Sahelwala, district Bhiwani, Sepoy Kuldeep Singh of village Satnali Bass, district Mahendragarh and Sepoy Naresh of village Akoda, district Mahendragarh.
The House also placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad demise of close relatives of members of Haryana Vidhan Sabha which included mother of Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma, Gindori Devi, brother-in-law of Minister of State, Karan Dev Kamboj, Tara Chand, father of MP, Naresh Kaushik, Kaliram Kaushik, mother of MLA, Bhagwan Dass Kabirpanthi, Taro Devi, brother of MLA, Ghanshyam Dass Arora, Shyam Sunder, paternal aunt of MLA, Ghanshyam Dass Saraf, Lakshmi Devi, mother of MLA, Rajdeep Phogat, Krishna Devi, mother of MLA, Jai Parkash, Sukma Devi, mother of former MLA, Satpal Sangwan, Mohra Devi, mother of former Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Prahlad Singh Gillan Khera, Haridwari Devi.
Besides them, father of former MLA, Nafe Singh, Hari Singh, wife of former MLA, Sadhu Ram, Javantri Devi, wife of former MLA, Anand Kumar Sharma, Krishna Devi Sharma, father of former MLA, Durga Dutt Atri, Rameshwar Dutt Atri, mother of former MLA, Nafe Singh Rathi, Ratni Devi, brother of former MLA, Balbir Singh, K.D. Chaudhary, brother of former MLA, Ram Rattan, Ram Karan and wife of former MLA, Sher Singh, Sarti Devi were also paid rich tributes.
