Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Haryana Police has booked a dozen of persons under Gambling Act from village Mithri area in district Sirsa. More than Rs 2.05 lakh was recovered from their possession.
While stating this today, a spokesman of Police Department said that all the accused were arrested following a tip off during patrolling.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team immediately raided and nabbed all 12 persons involved in gambling. A case under Gambling Act had been registered against them in Police Station Odhan in Sirsa.
The arrested accused have been identified as Nachhtar Singh and Balwant of village Mithri, Balkaran of Mandi Dabwali, Naveen, Amandeep and Satpal of Pipli, Richhpal of village Kumhara, Punjab, Bittu of village Gahlewala, Punjab, Harpal of village Pakkan Shaheedan, Om Parkash of Dabwali, Vishal of Kalanwali and Naveen of Goniyana Mandi, Punjab.
Divulging the details, he said that after getting the specific information, a CIA team booked all the accused from the fields of village Mithri along with stake money.
