The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday hailed the reappointment of Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal as member of Punjab Pollution Control Board after government recieving criticism from all walks of society for removing Sant Seechewal from the board.

The party demanded that the government now must take action against the officer who were responsible for Rs. 50 crores penalty imposed by NGT on Punjab government for failing to clean the rivers of state but tried to pass the buck to Sant Seechewal.

Welcoming the appointment of Sant Baba Sewa Singh Khadoor Sahib Wale, Cheema said that it is a late taken correct decision.

He said that more people like Sant Seechewal and Sant Sewa Singh should be looped in to tackle the problem of environment pollution. He said that saving environment is the need of the hour and government must behave seriously on the issue.
