Punjab Govt's Bills provide minimum 3 years Prison & Fine for sale below MSP, Check on black marketing of farm produce

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday urged all parties to unanimously pass in the Vidhan Sabha his government’s four historic Bills.

The four bills provide: 

- Imprisonment of not less than 3 years for sale/purchase below MSP.
- Fine for sale/purchase of wheat or paddy under a farming agreement below MSP.
- Exemption of farmers from attachment of land up to 2.5 acres. 
- Prevention of hoarding and black-marketing of agricultural produce, among other things.
