Jalandhar: Due to the untiring efforts of the Jalandhar Sakhi-One Stop Center, a 50-year-old mentally disturbed elderly woman from Adampur, who had been missing for the last 7 months, was traced from Aravali in Gujarat. The center introduced the woman to her family after the team returned from Gujarat.
Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the woman's family had lodged a complaint with the Child Development Project Officer in Adampur on October 11 about her disappearance. After which the Jalandhar Sakhi-One Stop Center was immediately informed about the case. The Jalandhar Sakhi-One Stop Center directed to share this information with all the centers of the country. Thori said that after this Sakhi-One Stop Center of Aravalli District, Gujarat contacted the Center in Jalandhar and told that the photo they shared has matched the woman found here.
Thori said that the team led by District Program Officer Gurminder Randhawa and Center Incharge Sandeep Kaur called the family and arranged a video call with the officials of Sakhi One Stop Aravalli. After completing this related paperwork, the woman was handed over to the family.
